Day 1- 2 Arrival - Tbilisi CAPITAL OF GEORGIA - Home for people with diverse cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds

Sightseeing:

  • Sameba Church - Symbol of hope for Tbilisi citizen, with the most beautiful Views in old part of Tbilisi
  • Metekhi (XII c.) Royal residential complex
  • Fortress Narikhala (IV-X cc.) –the main citadel of the city
  • The Asian- type colored hot sulfur springs bath houses (XVIII c.)

Day 3 Tbilisi –Kazbegi - small town nestled among the Great Caucasus Mountains

  • Mtskheta - ancient capital of Georgia. Known as a Holy Town.
  • Svetitskhoveli and Jvari Cathedral -(VI-XIth c.) (UNESCO World Heritage)
  • Ananuri Fortress - a castle and the seat of the Dukes dynasty (13th c.)
  • Gergeti mountain (5033m) excellent views– one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus

Day 4-5 Kakheti - wine region

Town Signagi - town of love XVII architecture with beautiful view of landscape of vineyards

Sightseeing:

  • St. Nin oBodbe Monastery Complex (IX c.)
  • Signagi Historical-Ethnographic Museum

Town Telavi . Administrative and cultural center of the region- (60 km)

  • KHAREBA” wine corporation in town Kvareli- 7 km long Wine Tunnel
  • Gremi castle –The Royal Tower Ensemble. (xvc)
  • The Royal castle, Persian-style Palace (XVIII c.)
  • Nadikvari Park - View of Caucasus mountains

Day 6 Telavi-Baku

Traveling to Lagodekhi on the Georgia- Azerbaijan border. Visit a traditional bazaar and change tour leader and transportation.

Azerbaijan's cosmopolitan capital of Baku is often referred to as the 'new Dubai'. Enjoy a guided walking tour around the city's World Heritage-listed Old Town.

Sightseeing:

  • Visit to the Old City, including the Shemakha gate.

Day 7 -Baku

  • Maiden's Tower -This tapering 29m stone tower is Baku’s foremost historical icon with rooftop views surveying Baku Bay and the Old City.
  • Shirvan Shah Palace- Important piece of Azerbaijani history – Shirvanhahs’ Palace was built in 15th century by Shirvanshah kingdom who ruled mostly in the current territory of Azerbaijan in 861 — 1538. Shirvanshahs literally means “the kings of Shirvan”.
  • Carpet Museum- The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum was established in 1967. It was the first specialised museum of carpets in the world.

Day 8-Baku

  • Qobustan – Petroglyphs-Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.

Day 9-Baku

  • Caravanserai- The most unique and historical caravanserais, considered as pearls, are still preserved in Old City. One of them is Bukhara caravanserai. According to research, this historical monument was built in the 15th century by merchants who came from Central Asia to Baku.
